BATON ROUGE, La. Kenny Britt Patriots Jersey . -- Anthony Jennings to Travin Dural. Get used to it. The combination produced three first-half touchdowns -- including a 94-yarder on LSUs first offensive play -- and the 12th-ranked Tigers overwhelmed Sam Houston State 56-0 on Saturday night. "We have a lot of chemistry," Dural said. "He knows how I run my routes and I know how he throws the ball. So all that extra work weve put in is showing." Highly-hyped freshman running back Leonard Fournette also got into the act with his first long run, a 40-yarder that set up his first TD on a 4-yard run. But LSU coach Les Miles appeared miffed that Fournette chose to punctuate his maiden scoring run with a Heisman Trophy-like pose. So that celebration may be a thing of the past, even if Fournette is only starting to showcase his potential as a ball carrier. "It is a little premature to launch a Heisman candidacy," Miles said. "He needs to realize, too, that this is a team. "There were a lot of guys blocking for that run," Miles added. "We will make that point to him. Hes fine. I would much rather have an enthusiastic well-felt guy with energy that maybe is a little full of himself, but that is not all bad, either." Offensive lineman Evan Washington appreciated Miles sentiment, but wasnt that bothered by Fournettes enthusiasm, either. "Im not mad at him for doing it if he thinks he has the talent to do it. I think he has the talent to do it," Washington said. "He got caught up in his first touchdown and his emotions probably got the best of him." If anyone on LSUs offence was going to strike such a pose, it probably should have been Dural, who scored on all three of his receptions, which totalled 140 yards. His second and third touchdown receptions went for 28 and 18 yards, helping LSU (2-0) build a 35-0 halftime lead over the Bearkats (1-2) of the second-tier Football Championship Subdivision. "It was our boys against their men," Sam Houston State coach K.C. Keeler said, adding that he was pleased his team still played hard even when it would have been easy to check out mentally. "I mean, youre embarrassed. Its 30-plus to nothing and youre getting handled on national television," Keeler said. Dural, who had two TDs all of last season as a redshirt freshman, already has twice as many through the first two games of 2014. A week earlier, Dural highlighted a three-catch, 151-yard outing against Wisconsin with an 80-yard TD from Jennings. "Just putting the ball up there, knowing hes going to come down with it is a great confidence boost for me," Jennings said. Jennings attempted only 13 passes against Sam Houston, completing seven for 188 yards without an interception. Jennings confidence in Dural can be traced back to the 2013 regular season finale against Arkansas, when Jennings was forced into action by an injury to Zach Mettenberger. Jennings, then a freshman, led the Tigers to a late comeback victory by finding Dural for a 49-yard score. Their chemistry has only grown since, and is a reason Jennings has distinguished himself as the Tigers No. 1 quarterback over freshman Brandon Harris, who appears to have a stronger arm and be more of a threat running out of the read-option. Harris demonstrated his prowess as a runner when he temporarily replaced Jennings in the second quarter, spinning away from tacklers during a 46-yard touchdown run. Harris returned in the second half and registered his first completion -- a 22-yarder to John Diarse -- followed by his first touchdown pass on a fade to fellow freshman Malachi Dupre. LSU improved to 10-0 against FCS foes. But Miles had cautioned his players not to look past a Bearkats squad that came in averaging 613.5 yards and 43 points through its first two games. Apparently, the Tigers took Miles warning to heart. The Bearkats hadnt been held scoreless in a single quarter before being blanked by LSU, which registered seven sacks and produced three turnovers. LSU outgained Sam Houston 584 yards to 206. Freshman running back Darrel Williams added a short touchdown for LSU, as did running back Kenny Hilliard. Sam Houstons Jared Johnson completed only 8 of 25 passes for 142 yards and threw two interceptions, the second one picked off at the LSU 2 by Rickey Jefferson, younger brother for former Tigers QB Jordan Jefferson. Jordan Matthews Patriots Jersey . - John Elways philosophy is to address immediate needs in free agency, even though some of his own veterans may prove too pricey to keep around. Cordarrelle Patterson Patriots Jersey .The result meant Juventus will spend the winter break three points clear of Roma after the league leader beat Cagliari 3-1 on Thursday.Milan remained seventh ahead of the rest of the weekends fixtures, but was provisionally two points behind third-place Napoli in their duel for the final Champions League spot.TORONTO -- The Toronto Blue Jays bullpen has struggled mightily over the last week. There was a massive meltdown in Minnesota on April 17 and another blown opportunity a few days later in Cleveland. The Toronto relievers took it on the chin again Thursday as the Baltimore Orioles turned a close game into an 11-4 rout at Rogers Centre. The Blue Jays wasted a quality six-inning effort by Drew Hutchison and fell back to the .500 mark by losing the rubber game of three-game series. Baltimore scored five runs in the seventh inning and added four more in the eighth for the blowout win. "Theres going to be some blips every now and then," said Toronto manager John Gibbons. "I still think our bullpen stacks up as good as anybody out there." Several relievers had blips on this night. Neil Wagner lasted just one out before being pulled. Brett Cecil (0-1) didnt even manage an out, allowing four earned runs, two walks and two hits. Esmil Rogers worked the rest of the seventh inning and pitched the eighth, giving up three earned runs and five hits. "Its only April, youre not going to be perfect every time," Cecil said. "I didnt feel like I had a good feel for anything. I was pulling my cutters, my curveballs were up and not as sharp." Jonathan Schoop homered and David Lough had three of the Orioles 14 hits. Bud Norris (1-2) allowed five hits, three earned runs and a walk over six innings for Baltimore (11-10). Nelson Cruz scored twice and drove in two runs while Chris Davis and Adam Jones had three RBIs apiece. "We know these guys are going to score runs whether its early or late," Norris said. Toronto (11-11) did most of its damage in the second inning. Dioner Navarro put the Blue Jays on the board with a solo shot for his first homer of the season. Juan Francisco followed with a single and scored when Colby Rasmus belted a two-run blast. Baltimore had some chances early on but Hutchison was locating his fastball on both sides of the plate to keep the Orioles at bay. The 23-year-old right-hander had nine strikeouts for the second straight game. "I dont go out there trying to strike people out, I go out there trying to command the ball and attack the strike zone," Hutchison said. Cordarrelle Patterson Jersey. "And when you get ahead of guys, you put them away. Thats all that is." The Orioles finally got to Hutchison in the fifth when Schoop opened the frame with a solo homer. Lough reached on a walk, stole second, moved to third on a sacrifice fly and scored on a Davis single. Hutchison struck out Jones to get out of the frame with the lead intact. "Hutch gave us that big start we were looking for, we just couldnt take advantage of it," Gibbons said. "Then the game got away late there." The Toronto bullpen also struggled in a 10-8 loss to the Orioles a night earlier. It was the first time Baltimore has scored 10 runs or more in back-to-back games since August 2008. "We can string some hits together and get the home run any time," Jones said. "Our lineup is scary and its fun to see it click the last couple of nights." Norris settled down after his rough second inning. He faced the minimum 11 batters until hitting Encarnacion with a pitch in the sixth inning. After the game, Gibbons said he wasnt worried about his bullpen, which had a strong season last year before fading late in the campaign. This seasons low point came in a 9-5 loss to the Twins a week earlier. In that game, Minnesota scored three straight runs on wild pitches by Torontos Sergio Santos and the bullpen issued a team-record eight walks in one inning. The struggles continued against the Orioles and things dont get easier with the reigning World Series champion Boston Red Sox in town for a weekend series. "Its still a good bullpen," Gibbons said. "(The Orioles) found a couple holes, but they kept the pressure on us all night." Notes: Cecils season-opening streak of 8 2-3 consecutive scoreless innings came to an end. ... The Blue Jays challenged a hit batsman call in the eighth inning. After a review of almost two minutes, the call stood. ... Left-hander Mark Buehrle (4-0) is scheduled to start Friday night against Bostons Jake Peavy (0-0). ... Toronto fell to 4-5 at Rogers Centre this season. ...
